Chakra Focused Energy work - ClassKundalini Workshop Description
Kundalini yoga is often called the yoga of awareness. This practice uses asana, breath work and mantra to relax the body and train the mind to become neutral. In our hectic lives these practices can be used as practical tools for living a happier more balanced life. We will end with a deeply relaxing sound healing. The February 11th, 2023 Workshop will focus on the chakrasLaura (Kirtan) Bio With over three decades of experience in personal development, Laura Marcotte is a yoga teacher and conscious living expert who takes the timeless wisdom of yoga and makes it powerfully accessible to all. Laura has served as faculty in an internationally renown Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Program since 2008 and currently leads comprehensive programs in Therapeutic Yoga for Addiction and Recovery and Teaching Yoga to Children and Adolescents. Her passion for teaching and empowering children of all ages inspired her, as a mother of two young sons in 2006, to design and develop the yoga curriculum currently used by the Austin Independent School District for grades K-12. Now the mother of two grown men, Laura lives with her husband in Austin, Texas, and teaches teachers, public classes and works with clients privately. She offers monthly healing events incorporating gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, mindfulness, movement, meditation, community, and fun. Laura finds courage and joy from her daily meditation practice. Her mission is to share yoga as a simple, practical tool that brings grace and ease to everyday life. |
